Mariella van der Zee

Mariella van der Zee is a freelance photographer and casting director based in the heart of the Alps.

In 2005 Mariella graduated from Istituto Marangoni in London with a BA in Fashion Styling and subsequently has worked in the fashion industry ever since. Starting in London at ELLE Magazine in production, moving on to become Dylan Jonse’s PA at GQ Magazine and ending up at PREMIER MODEL MANAGEMENT as a booker, Mariella moved to Amsterdam in 2013 where she worked as a freelance casting director and headed the Photography department at HALAL.

Since 2018 Mariella is back where it all started. After all the years spent working with fashion and lifestyle photography, Mariella has taken to the camera herself. With a trained eye for an aesthetically pleasing image, Mariella focuses on capturing life’s simple pleasures, its imperfections, and celebrates them in her blissfully charming and bright photographs.
